Wet chemical pretreatment process for arsenic gold ore

Wet chemical pretreatment process for arsenic gold ore

This method mainly includes two methods: atmospheric alkali leaching pretreatment and hot pressing chemical pretreatment.

1.Atmospheric alkaline leaching pretreatment

Atmospheric alkaline leaching pretreatment is a method of treating minerals using alkaline media under atmospheric pressure conditions, aimed at improving the efficiency of gold mining. This method usually adopts a combination of physical and chemical separation methods, which includes main equipment such as grinding and leaching process and tower grinding and leaching machine.

process flow

  • 1.Ultra fine grinding:Use a tower type grinding and leaching machine to perform ultra-fine grinding on arsenic containing refractory gold ore. This helps to increase the contact area between the ore and alkaline media, promoting the removal of arsenic and sulfur.
  • 2.Enhanced pretreatment stirring tank:Under normal temperature and pressure, use the enhanced pretreatment stirring tank for enhanced alkaline leaching pretreatment. During this process, the slurry concentration is maintained at 40% and the ambient temperature is between -4 ℃ and 35 ℃, allowing for the removal of arsenic and desulfurization or the complete dissociation of gold and sulfides.
  • 3.Cyanidation: After the pre-treatment is completed, the slurry is subjected to cyanide treatment. Cyanidation can dissolve gold, forming soluble gold cyanide, which facilitates subsequent extraction and refining.

Technological advantages

  • 1.Efficient gold extraction:By ultra-fine grinding and enhanced alkaline leaching pretreatment of arsenic containing refractory gold ore, the gold leaching rate can be significantly increased from 8% to 20% before pretreatment to 93% to 98%.
  • 2.Environmental Protection:This method can effectively remove arsenic and sulfur, reducing pollution to the environment.
  • 3.Reduce costs:By improving the efficiency of gold mining, mining costs can be reduced.
  • 4.Simple operation:The process flow is relatively simple and easy to operate.
  • 5.Wide applicability:This method is suitable for the mining of various arsenic containing refractory gold mines.
  • The atmospheric alkaline leaching pretreatment combines physical and chemical separation methods, achieving efficient gold extraction through steps such as ultra-fine grinding, enhanced alkaline leaching pretreatment, and cyanide, while reducing mining costs and environmental pollution.

2.Hot pressing chemical pretreatment process

Hot press chemical pretreatment method, also known as pressure leaching method, is an effective method for treating sulfur-containing, arsenic containing gold ores or gold concentrates. This method is carried out in high temperature, high pressure, and acidic media.

1.Short process:Compared with other pretreatment methods, the hot pressing chemical pretreatment method has a relatively short process, which can save time and cost.

2.High arsenic leaching rate:Under pressure and high temperature conditions, arsenides are more easily oxidized and dissolved, thereby improving the leaching rate of arsenic.

3.Short leaching time:Due to the more intense reaction conditions, the leaching process can be completed in a shorter time, improving the efficiency of the entire process.

4.No production of toxic substances such as SO2:In the hot press chemical pretreatment method, sulfides are oxidized into sulfur or acid salts instead of producing toxic gases such as SO2, thereby reducing environmental pollution.

process flow

  • 1.Ore preparation:Crush and grind the gold ore into powder to increase its contact area with acidic media.
  • 2.High temperature oxidation:Under high temperature and high pressure conditions, ore powder is mixed with acidic media to cause oxidation reactions of sulfides, iron compounds, and arsenides.
  • 3.Leaching: After the oxidation reaction is completed, the slurry is leached to dissolve gold and other valuable metal ions into the solution.
  • 4.Solid separation:Separate the leached solid from the solution and further treat it to extract gold.

Technological advantages

  • 1.Efficient: High temperature and high pressure conditions help accelerate reaction speed, shorten leaching time, and improve overall process efficiency.
  • 2.Environmental protection: It does not produce toxic gases such as SO2, reducing its impact on the environment.
  • 3.High leaching rate:Especially when dealing with sulfur-containing and arsenic containing gold mines, high arsenic leaching rate can be achieved, which is beneficial for the subsequent gold extraction process.
  • 4.Cost saving:Short process and high efficiency help save equipment and operational costs.
  • The hot pressing chemical pretreatment method is an advanced gold ore treatment technology that achieves efficient and environmentally friendly gold ore pretreatment through the action of high temperature, high pressure, and acidic media.
